wild how much of the time "there isn't anything to do where I live" is code for "I refuse to seek out local artists and events"
#if you live completely in the middle of nowhere obviously like. its different#but ive also lived pretty much completely in the middle of nowhere and theres still usually house shows that are findable#if you have at least 1 friend with a car#anyway people say this abt my midsize Midwestern city all the time and its so annoying bc there literally are so many local shows#we have like 2.5 gay clubs and a couple bars that do concerts. plus tons of people who do house shows#there are random art galleries in local businesses as well as a monthly art showcase#you just would only know about it if you actually looked for it. like if there are bars there are likely shows#if there are abandoned buildings there are likely raves#people do drugs literally everywhere#also the library does tooooons of stuff. even in all the rural areas ive lived in#if this post doesnt apply to you then it doesnt apply to you and theres no need to take it personally btw. just in case anyones concerned
